New Wooden Cafe Planter

We’ve just launched this one as a standard product which you can see in the Catering section of our web site, it’s a large branded mobile planter which has been created as a bespoke solution a couple of times now but it is such a stunning solution we have got to add it to our range. The guys at Imperial Garden were really pleased with it and said: “Thank you for the planters, they look so great on the bar and stand out perfectly from the main road. Thank you for all your support in getting these to us for Science festival and the time and effort put in from your team.”

Brand new restaurant collection

We’ve recently launched a whole new set of products aimed at small cafes, bars and restaurants. It includes a range of wooden table signs, two sizes of condiment holders and an ice bucket holder. All of them can be branded and make a stunning set of products. See them all here in our retail display section.

From Garden Trug to Playboy Club!

Well it doesn’t get any more quirky than this in our world, we’ve been working with the prestigious Playboy Club in London to create this bespoke basket with a leatherette handle, based on our humble garden trug. All in black with gold graphics this has been the most elegant upgrade any of our products has ever had!

Appearing with the Stars!

Pretty excited to see one of our crates featuring on the front of the new Gordon Ramsay cookbook Breadstreet Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay with no other than Gordon himself! Recipes look amazing!

You can buy the book on Amazon, and you can buy the crate here!

Catering displays…

We’ve been putting together lots of branded presentation crates for Harrison Catering this year, they look stunning in rustic pine and slate grey. The very simple graphics give the crates a real touch of quality, we love them.

Branded Crates in the Catering Sector…

We recently saw some of our crates being used in a catering facility in a hotel and it made us think about exactly why our branded crates get used so much in food retail and catering environments. The answer has several elements to it based on the fact that the humble apple crate says something about the food that it contains. Firstly, it suggests that the food is fresh and has been carried to the table straight from the field or garden. It also suggests that the producer of that food has some heritage and takes pride in the produce they have grown, baked or cooked. And a wooden crate also evokes the natural environment from which the ingredients have been grown in.

So it’s a multi-faceted story that presents itself to the consumer in a very simple visual way, and his is why so many of our branded crates end up in restaurants, food retailing and catering displays.

Cheshire Tea Crate Shelves

Philp Paton at the Cheshire Tea Company sent us a great shot of his new crate shelving system, which looks brilliant. He added the header boards to the front of the crates to hold the stock and add more branding. He said: “We simply love it! It really goes well with our products!”

Restaurant Crate Walls

We’ve recently been sent these pictures from one of our customers, Gary from Vasight Building Company, who used our crates to complete a local restaurant refurbishment.  The end result looks so brilliant, we just had to share it!

Personalised Plantabox Platters

Our trade orders come in all shapes and sizes, but it is sometimes with the smaller ones that we really get to create some lovely bespoke products and we are always delighted to see how they look in action!

We were recently contacted by Paul Stephenson from the Square & Compass pub in North Rigton near Harrogate.  He’d come across our products before, but it was only after a chance conversation with one of his neighbours (another of our lovely customers Sally from Harrogate Preserves), that he realised we could also tweak our products for bespoke orders.  He asked us to create some platters for the pub & its sister pub, The George at Backwell, Bristol, to use for their signature sharing platters, the Smoked Sharer & the Artisan Sharer.

The resulting personalised platters have been winners all round, the chefs love them because they allow for better presentation and also free up more space on bar tables and the feedback for both the platters & the food from customers has been great.  So if you’re passing either pub, be sure to pop in and sample some delicious food served on personalised Plantabox platters!
